But he has kinda, sorta backed into most of it.

Doug tends to push things out, explore the possibilities, catalyze movement into newness. Sometimes he's then pressed into structuring, formalizing and stewarding the organic initiatives that grow out of this way of doing life: out-of-the-box, values-based, full-throttle. You'll find him working with a core of companions ... with an eye to connecting and unleashing people, maximizing potential and changing things for the better.

Organizations

Doug's master's degree in Organizational Leadership is grounded in four decades founding and leading a range of enterprises. He has helped launch several faith communities and international networks, and has started and developed developed a number of landmark businesses together with his wife Charlene. For nearly 30 years he served as the Executive Director of Growth Dynamics International ("GDI"), resourcing a global network of change agents — leaders and organizations working creatively to make the world a better place.  

Doug and his team created and host The Wisdom Project, a growing repository of timely resources and practical life-wisdom for persons in search of More. Long before online communities were in vogue, they created the LifeLong Learning Community  ("L3C"), an interactive virtual community enabling Jesus-followers worldwide to connect and pursue a proactive, intentional journey of personal transformation, 24X7.  He was also a founding partner of the pioneering Transformational Leadership Coaching coach-training organization. 

As a founding board member of Bridges to Common Ground, Doug worked for decades in Muslim-Christian bridge-building, and has been deployed into an array of peacemaking missions in conflict zones across North Africa, the Persian Gulf, and the Central African Republic. More recently he founded The Amplius Group based out of London, catalyzing communities of human thriving throughout Africa and the developing world.

Amplius collaborates with a global network of trusted partners to find fresh solutions to intractable problems, deploying leapfrog technologies and exploring fresh paradigms urgently needed in the face of the East/West, North/South, and developing/developed world polarities that increasingly dominate the world stage.

Amplius has strategically partnered with an international team of crypto and blockchain pioneers to launch KulaDAO, a paradigm-shifting impact investment platform designed to re-configure mis-aligned interests: tokenizing real-world assets, giving voice and equity to traditionally disenfranchized communities, making previously “uninvestible” situations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America investible for Western capital.
